Welcome to our Spain Blog

Last year Bonnie and I had the opportunity to spend two months in Spain.  We spent three years there 1965-1968 at the Navy base in Rota, situated on the Bay of Cadiz on the southern Atlantic coast.  We fell in love with the country and the people and always dreamed of going back, so last year made that dream come true.

We have decided to return and continue our exploration of Andalucia, the southern province in Spain.  We will be in the village of Olvera, one of the famed "pueblos blancos" of Andalucia.  This term means white villages - there are over 25 of these gems scattered over the highlands of this part of Spain.

This year we will be back in Olvera, although in a different house.  We look forward to reconnection with friends we made last year and anticipate many new adventures.  We hope you will join us as we revisit favorite places and discover new things.  I will be posting regularly, maybe not every day, but quite often.  It enhances our experience to share it with you.

  1. Hey B & B - have just looked through all postings with much pleasure from both your obvious pleasure in this extended sojourn and beauty/charm of the pix. And Bill, I'm impressed with your mad tech skills! Hope the weather continues to improve - here, too, we're having trouble getting springtime going. Best to you both, and love, Dick
